Implementation Support - Assistant Manager

JOB PURPOSE

An Assistant Manager is required to provide Implementation Support for the Network Implementation Teams to land and embed the Banking Made Easy Programme.

This will involve supporting the Regional Implementation Managers & Change Managers to carry out the activities needed to prepare branches for live day and providing support and leadership for Business Readiness activities, Implementation Deliverable co-ordination and post go live support/PIR & lessons learned etc. The successful candidate will be involved in setting standards, exceptions management & planning and maintaining a consistent one best way for the Programme change to be landed

RESPONSIBILITIES

- To work with the BME Implementation Manager and the Regional Implementation Managers to develop and document:
o Processes and Task & Activity lists for the various implementation activities, for example, Branch Opening Hours Validation & Signoff, Role Preferencing, Working Patterns, Regional Launch event
o Network Implementation team induction process and documentation
o Processes and exceptions handling processes for Implementation eg. For "no go" outcome branches, exceptions processes documented for a range of potential next steps such as recruitment, re-visiting working patterns etc
- Pro-active look aheads on Task & Activity lists to ensure all implementation outputs produced by the various programme workstreams are available and fit for purpose and that Network Implementation Team weekly briefings have agenda items for discussion based on 2-3 lookahead
- To provide ongoing pro-active support to the field implementation teams by analysing MI and pro-actively flagging in advance areas where data is missing/incomplete or lagging behind expected percentage completion. Assisting the field teams in contacting branches or getting the data to contact branches to resolve
- To provide ongoing support to the field implementation teams by providing them with anything they need and resolving issues and queries

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


The Assistant Manager will be required to take a proactive, hands-on approach, to ensure that Network Implementation Teams are ready to land and receive Change. The successful candidate will need to be a collaborative, results-driven individual, with excellent communication and relationship building skills. They should have experience of Change processes, understand the Change Lifecycle and be confident in managing discussions and directing debates to achieve agreed outcomes.

More precisely, the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills/knowledge:
- Experience of managing or actively supporting large programme implementations into a distributed network - Ideally Retail Bank Branch
- Proven ability to proactively resolve issues & consider & mitigate/plan for Implementation Risk
- Strong influencing skills
- Energetic, enthusiastic and able to work under own initiative
- Presents self well; is highly professional and articulate. Gives clear direction, acts with confidence and inspires people to commit to outcomes
- Is highly organised and makes efficient use of time. Is able to manage multiple pressures concurrently whilst retaining ownership and control
- Plans meticulously, delivers to plan and follows through on agreed Actions. Experience understanding MSP essential and gearing field teams up to deliver against future milestones
- Monitors progress against the project or workstream plan, identifies slippage and either develops strategies to recover or works with more senior Project Manager to contribute to this activity.
- Understands the project critical path and how their area of responsibility impacts this
- Works at a low level of detail. Can interpret and analyse data and uses performance metrics to measure progress.
- Is able to produce documentation of a very high quality
- Is highly organised. Is disciplined in meeting deadlines and applies processes consistently
- Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) for Implementation Risk & Exceptions management/planning
