Description
My client, a large international bank, is seeking to strengthen the Tooling Services team which is part of their Application Development Division. The team's mission to define, implement and maintain an optimal tooling model supporting the project delivery methodology and application life cycle. The tooling model is designed to improve the quality of the project deliverables, limit the risks of production changes and to allow a smooth and controlled delivery of internal product development throughout the Project and application life cycle.
Tasks:
Maintain the distributed configuration management tools and infrastructure.
- technical maintenance of the software configuration management and automation tools (IBM Rational Clearcase Multisite on Unix Servers, IBM Rational Buildforge) and some of their associated tools (Samba);
- help end users with Clearcase related issues;
- assist in the correct automation and support of distributed build processes (on Windows, AIX, Linux);
- help to define/improve the bank's distributed configuration management process where possible;
- assist in maintaining the virtual Build infrastructure and its configuration;
- strong analytical skills, you recognize underlying issues and problems, you can make root-cause/impact analysis to define a solution and properly document the conclusion;
- change and configuration management allowing you to assess a correct balance between the development delivery needs and production stability.
Essential Skills:
You are an experienced Clearcase administrator with expertise in Clearcase UCM in a multisite environment installed on an AIX platform;
Familiar in using both the Clearcase full client and the remote client.
Perl and Shell Scripts;
Basic knowledge of AIX or other Unix O/S (Unix pipe commands, VIM editor, etc)
Desirable skills (but not essential):
- familiar with Microsoft development platform (MsBuild, VB.NET, Visual Studio) and you have experience in the automation of these build processes;
- windows server and architecture (clustering, load balancing);
- Experience in working in a virtualised environment;
- Programming knowledge in C++, C#, .NET MVC, HTML.
Language: English essential, any French or Dutch would be nice
