Commodity Manager
The robustness of the current supply base is seen as the key risk to achieving this ramp up. Fast track "hit team" is being created to develop current suppliers and create dual source capacity in parallel.
The commodity Manager(s) will be responsible for discreet projects to reduce risk and improve cost in the supply chain.
This could include the following;
1) Developing the supplier strategy and supply chain solutions for newly qualified products as they move to rate production.
2) Develop BCC alternatives to current UK sourced product, managing the qualification and transition in a short timescale.
3) Implementing Frame Agreements with Key vendors to underpin GE terms and conditions and secure volume.
4) Negotiating standard T&Cs with vendors where not in place.
The candidate should be an experienced commodity manager, with a background in Oil and Gas, Aviation or Engineering of high integrity products.
