Senior Security Technician - Firewall ManagementA senior security technician vacancy has become available within a leading financial institution.  Joining a well established team the technician will be responsible for 24x7 on call support in regards to IT security Firewalls, design and QA of IT Security Solutions and the implementation of fixes and upgrades to the IT Security Environment.
  
Responsibilities of the Role: 

• Acting as an escalation point within the larger team on all Security incidents
• Optimisation and support of IT Security Firewall infrastructure
• Installations of hot fixes
• Upgrades to IT Security Firewall environment
• Implementation planning
• Performance reporting on the environment for capacity planning
• Assist in the development of proposals and product evaluation
• Ensuring that the delivery of upgrades and systems solutions do not interfere with BAU operations

Skills required:  

• Tertiary technology qualifications
• CISSP/CCSE, or GIAC Security certification
• Knowledge of the banking and finance arenas would be seen as favourable
• Operational experience across Security infrastructure including, planning, optimisation, and support
• Knowledge in the application of risk management concepts and strategies.
