Software Development Company is seeking a Knowledge Engineer familiar with natural language processing who can assist in development, testing, and maintenance of knowledge bases, that are developed on Windows using client s proprietary knowledge base editing system and are customized for specific semantic domains across multiple human languages.
In this position you will develop, enhance and test knowledge bases, interface with subject matter experts and encode subject matter expertise into knowledge base formats. You will develop and enhance specifications, test cases and scripts and maintain existing software knowledge bases and addressing technical requests raised by customers. You will also provide technical support for client developers who use knowledge bases in their applications, write and maintain documentation and design, develop, and ensure the quality of prototype and demonstration systems.
To qualify you must possess a Bachelor's degree in computational linguistics or a related field, have experience with natural language parsing and relational database systems as well as a working knowledge of regular expressions. Experience in a software development, software testing, or software consulting environment and experience with multilingual localized software systems are preferred. Also desired are familiarity with Unicode, experience with XML and exposure to foreign language.
The level of this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, skills, and experience. This is a contract opportunity with a duration of 6 months.
