SAP BW Techno Functional Consultant - ( Knowledge of Dutch, English and French ) - Belgium -The details
The Analyst-Developer role is to design efficient applications or services in support of core organizational business processes. This includes gathering and analysing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Analyst-Developer will enable the translation of functional requirements into system, application code such that rapid development of a business request or modification can be delivered.
The Analyst-Developer should also ensure that all applications are coded, documented and able to be maintained to ensure that the customer remains best-in-class and competitive at all times by having highly available and resilient applications and management systems. The Analyst-Developer is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling requirements and specification reports complete with recommended improvements to - or new requirements for - business processes and operational procedures.
The Analyst-Developer will also use his/her particular knowledge of applications or systems to provide 2nd or 3rd line support to analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion. The Analyst-Developer will ensure that all guidelines in regards to security, enterprise architecture, business continuity or data design and quality are maintained.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Functional
Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements to meet business goals or resolve issue in current applications or services
Translate and confirm functional analysis into technical detail in regards to architecture and quality standards
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing applications or services and develop strategies for improving or leveraging
Develop and communicate application usage and security policies and standards to all users
Provide input for the definition of architecture
Provide input for the development and evolution of an organizational development strategy
Assist in documenting policies and procedures for maintenance of applications or databases developed
Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering
4 years of IT experience in a development, process analysts, business requirements analyst or similar role
Certifications in some best practice application life cycle or programming language
ITIL Aware or other best practices in regards to Application and Software Management
Knowledge of Dutch, English and French
Understanding of and preferred experienced in the utilities market
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Technical Experience
Profound knowledge of ABAP
Experience in EDW principles and Analyses Process Designer
Practical experience in working with time dependent master data
Project management experience
Experience in gathering and analysing business requirements
Working technical knowledge and proven related experience of SAP BW 3.5
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies (SAP BI - BI7 and BO)
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and Datamodelling
Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
Highly logical hands-on experience working in integrated development and test environments
Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems
Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle
Knowledge of database development or support
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to create systematic and manual operations procedures in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Business Skills
Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Understands performance concerns (ABAP & BI Datamodel) and is experienced in high data volume environments
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Experience in gathering and analysing business requirements
Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws applicable to the Business
