Description
IT Project Manager to lead the execution of Project Management and Testing/QA processes and deliverables.
Responsibilities Include:
- Execution of Project Management and Testing/QA processes and deliverables
- Manage the Testing and Interface work plan to ensure that defined development and testing milestones are achieved and tasks are completed as planned
- Identify and implement methods to improve the project testing effort
- Ensure all testing measures of success are achieved
- Analyze and control changes to project scope that arise as a result of the testing effort
- Anticipate, document, and monitor testing issues and risks
- Ensure development and maintenance of appropriate project documentation and records of assumptions, important events, decisions, actions, or problems
- Manage execution of multiple vendor work statements to ensure quality delivery within the confines of expected scope, Manage a team of matrixed development and testing resources across IT and business support groups
- Oversee work of Test Analyst to ensure that test scripts are completed in a timely manner, accurate reporting occurs, and any issues are escalated to lead PM
- Act as a point of contact for all testing deliverables and provides clarifications to testing requirements
- Manage all phases of testing (including System Integration, Performance, User Acceptance, Regression, and Production Implementation)
- Facilitate meetings with business and IT resources to gain consensus on testing issues, how those issues relate to original requirements and ensure that any new or modified requirements are captured and escalated to lead PM
- Lead defect triage meetings, prioritization of defects, and ensure test scripts are refined to test any defects during the testing phases.
- Ongoing monitoring of Quality Center to ensure that open defects are assigned to appropriate resources and defects are corrected and retested in a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 8 or more years of experience showing a demonstrated competency in delivering efficient and effective solutions
- Ability to effectively apply structured project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated effective project management skills, especially planning and directing work efforts, and motivating teammates.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating large scale testing activities
- Experience coordinating and reviewing the work of a work group.
- Demonstrated success translating objectives into project plans.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, human relations and communications skills. Works efficiently with customers, teammates, and management.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using oral and written communications. Effective presentation skills.
- Ability to work within a matrixed (including contractors) environment with specific responsibility and accountability to Business Management/Sponsors, IT Management/Sponsors, and IT PMO leadership.
- Effectively negotiates with others to reach agreement which will meet the organization's needs
- Ability to conduct effective meetings.
- Ability to effectively apply established project standards and change management processes

1. Demonstrated experience managing moderately complex IT projects.
2. Demonstrated ability to effectively track, analyze and trend project schedules to ensure successful and timely completion.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, sometimes unrelated efforts simultaneously.
4. Experience working with Power Delivery applications
5. Experience as a PM or team lead with a packaged application upgrade
6. Experience working with HP Quality Center Test Management tool
7. Experience working with MS SharePoint for documentation storage and version control
