Our client is looking for highly motivated individuals who want to help secure The Cloud by becoming part of their Cloud Security software development team. This team is developing ground breaking technologies which are going to revolutionize The Cloud.
The solutions this team develops use a variety of computer languages including Ruby, C, and Java. Members of this team perform a range of activities including planning, analysing, designing, coding, testing, building, documenting, and releasing.
To be successful in this role we are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
Degree in computer science or related discipline.
Experience developing complex, commercial grade products.
Excellent knowledge of the Ruby, C, and/or Java programming language.
Knowledge of networking, web services and REST APIs.
Excellent knowledge of OO, use case modelling, UML, and software architectures.
Solid knowledge of current software development methodologies.
Proven experience implementing and testing commercial software.
Solid experience with the following operating systems: Linux and/or Windows.
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills (ie proven ability to identify alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend effective solutions).
Responsive to change in a fast moving, high technology, product development environment.
Ability to operate confidently and constructively with peers and technical management.
Proactive self-starter, delivery focused, results orientated, team player, high professional standards and work ethic, strong-willed but flexible, and capable of making independent decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We encourage people with mid level experience. Ruby programming experience is important to the client. Candidates with C language and Perl programmers are encouraged to apply as they may be able to learn Ruby on the job. With Java candidiates written Java SE, Java ME or Android experience is sought. Candidates with solid exposure to Linux will be well regarded.
