Description
Finance Company is URGENTLY seeking 2X IT Security Operational Specialists. You will be responsible for overseeing, managing and providing specialised security skills both internally and externally to ensure IT systems are secured. You will embed security processes and methods within the organisation. This is an initial 6 month contract in the city.
Responsibilities:
- Set appropriate IT security service levels and metrics to ensure that vendors understand and are accountable
- Management of day to day operational security processes
- Development and delivery of operational reporting
- Manage a portfolio of security improvement projects, leveraging internal and external resources as appropriate
- Perform an internal consulting role to development teams re security issues on all application development initiatives, and to business clients re IT security issues impacting on the business
- Assess the compliance of applications and systems with security policy, reviewing for security exposures and recommending/implementing mitigation actions where appropriate.
- Govern third party delivery of security services both at operational and strategic levels
- Working with outsource partners and other vendors to plan, deliver and manage security solutions including end-to-end process design
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the technical implementation of IT security
- Respond to IT security incidents (typically through the relevant service provider)
- Assess the security impact of changes to systems and take appropriate action to prevent the introduction of additional unnecessary security risk
- Recommend expenditure on tools and services in support of IT security objectives
Essential Skills:
- Specific IT security experience & expert skills in one or more security disciplines (eg. host, network, Firewalls, etc) including both applications and infrastructure.
- Solid knowledge of security risks and preventative controls, and operational processes
- Experience in management of vendor IT security service delivery
- Understanding of ISO
- Broad knowledge of IT security trends, suppliers and products
- CISA, CISM or equivalent
