Position: Unisys Technical Support Analyst
Duration: 3 months
Location: Atlanta, GA
Rate: Market Rate

Role Description:

Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of Unisys systems (hardware and software), production and development systems (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware - software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular vendors brands. Work includes L1 and L2 troubleshooting. Work as part of a technical support team delivering a quality service to single/multiple clients using a variety of hardware and software products. Provide technical support & maintenance of production and development systems and administration of environments, running on various platforms, ensuring SLA targets are met. Provide expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching and new version installation. Provide ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (eg information systems, security, telecommunications networks, etc.). Deploy standard repeatable build outs. Manage relationship with application vendors and ensure they are meeting all service levels and responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience configuring, installing, and maintaining Unisys systems software.
Minimum 5 years' experience performance tuning, capacity planning, and problem analysis and resolution with Unisys hardware (Dorado 8xx/XPC-L) and system software (MCP/OS2200).
Minimum 5 years assembly language coding and testing on above mentioned platforms.
Experience interfacing Unisys with other platforms, eg HP NonStop, and/or Stratus
Experience with storage management practices for Unisys on EMC Symettrix SANs
Experience with Virtual Tape Library solutions.
Background in designing and testing Disaster Recovery solutions at remote sites.
Experienced with remote console operations.
