Responsibilities for the Role:
You will be working alongside an existing team of AbInitio/Java developers in the Front Officearea. There are a number of project related deliveries in the Fixed Income area planned for this year where you will be involved in the technical review, implementation and testing support of specific deliverables contributing to these projects. There is also BAU activity expected by the developer to maintain and provided bug fixes to existing developments.
You will need to have commercial experience with Validation of functional specifications for development of Ab Initio, VB, and VBA interfaces.
- Unit testing of delivered components
- Participation in code review with other developers.
- Structured code development, versioning and promotion to environments.
- Enhancements and bug fixes.
- Provision of support to testing teams during testing cycles.
- Participation in technical forums for knowledge gain and sharing.
- Effective reporting to technical team leader & project manager
- Ensure compliance with local development standards & methodologies-
Technical Design specifications for interface development, exception handling and monitoring and failover requirements.
