Responsibilities
- Take complete accountability of Software Testing for the applications and projects in scope in EMEA region. Be as the single point of contact for Testing for the EMEA projects.
- Own and manage the testing activities of multiple application or releases throughout its software development life cycle covering Functional, Non Functional & Regression Testing across System and System Integration Test level. Facilitate and coordinate the right level of UAT.
- Oversee, manage the designing and maintenance of test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, test data, test labs and test sets using various tools such as Quality Center, Excel, Word, etc
- Drive communication between the testing, development and product teams to ensure each requirement has adequate test coverage. Manage and enforce Entry & Exit criteria.
- Manage project change with respect to testing, in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, and cost. Defect Management and remediation facilitation.
- Ensure performance testing of non-functional requirements is conducted and the outcome acted upon.
- Identify areas of efficiency and opportunity between the Functional and Automation testing teams. Look for advanced strategic enhancements to the testing practice.
- Resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control for the application/projects in scope from Testing perspective.
- Forecast staff resourcing; select appropriate resource for the team and onboard them. Manage the local team in Ireland and globally dispersed vendor team.
- Lead, co-ordinate and mentor the Onshore & offshore team so they remain motivated and deliver.
- Contribute towards regional and global initiatives that support organizational development, testing or software process advancements.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of quality assurance experience, with at least 5 years working in an onshore/offshore model and managing major program/multiple projects.
- Domain experience in payments, cards, banking and/or trade business will be needed.
- Good team player and effective leader with a long term vision.
- Strong experience with statistics and analysis. Must have strong analytical, investigative and coordination skills.
- Must demonstrate effective communication with management, peers, and subordinates, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision and have the ability to prioritize workloads quickly and efficiently. Should have worked in a regional operating model with Matrix reporting and experience managing multiple clients.
- Experience with iterative development/testing practices such as Agile, RUP or test driven development.
- Expert skills in using Quality Center. Exposure to test automation and performance tools, like QTP, LoadRunner and Performance Center.
