Link Technologies is seeking a qualified Software Test Engineer for a contract position in Las Vegas, NV. The Software Test Engineer supports engineering activities such as test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry or specialized test equipment. Contributes to the ongoing development of software in the C, C++ programming language.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works as a member of a project team to analyze use cases, produce detailed quality test scripts, code, tests, debug, configure and document software.

Finds, analyzes, and makes recommended changes to software bugs; may make required fixes.

Establishes and maintains test plans and protocols for gaming device software and/or firmware.

Performs full game emulation, testing batteries of combinations and permutations of games interface with respect to full game function for new and revised or updated games and gaming devices.

Evaluates and recommends/proposes automation strategies using existing and new testing tools.

Owns major functional areas through test plan and test case creation, test automation, bug triaging to final release.

Writes or assists in the development of test plans and test procedures.

Reports test results and enters problems and issues into the bug reporting database. Monitors and updates bug reports as required, including bug report closure.

Assists in the automation of relevant test procedures and assists in the review of test procedures as they are developed.

Identifies and resolves test problems with Engineering, Compliance and regulatory agency requirements.

Supports the design and development of test documentation and procedures for specific product lines.

Maintains positive control for secure storage retrieval, traceability and documentation for game and gaming device firmware and hardware in test through controlled release to Compliance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or its equivalent.

Experience: Requires a minimum of three years of experience as a Software Engineer in a gaming environment, or in a similar enviroll111ent preferably with a recognizable emphasis in software or fim1ware testing and/or evaluation methodology.

Skills, knowledge, and qualifications:

Must possess a high level of personal and professional accountability and be able to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals and objectives.

Proficiency in C, C++ programming skills.

Experience with Source Control such as Subversion and Alienbrain.

Demonstrates the ability to analyze a problem and complete detailed reports.

Must be able to methodically produce the steps which exhibit bugs in the product and be able to reproduce and communicate those steps.

Demonstrates the ability to adapt to the changing requirements and priorities.

Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines.

Superior written and oral communication skills are required.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Product Suite.

Must be able to tolerate moderate to medium levels of stress caused by deadlines, and be capable of multi-tasking.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Must be able to work independently and be team oriented.

This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:

Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/work station and respond to written and oral cues.

Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.

May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 25 lbs.
