Job description
We are currently seeking a .NET/Java Administrator to work in our client's Brussels office.
You will be joining the IT Tools team and will be the team member focused on .NET/Java. You will also be responsible for the administration for an existing infrastructure. Besides .NET/Java which is the main focus, support and administration for Ruby on Rails/PHP/Perl/Datastage/AbInitio is also part of the job.
Primary Responsibilities
Acts as Subject Matter Expert and has extensive knowledge and experience.
Installs, configures and maintains these tools in development, integration, UAT and production environments. Acts as the primary contact for all issues related to these environments.
Provides tool support and communication to all users.
Perform analysis and tuning of the environments.
Monitor performance and capacity of the environments required to maintain established service level agreements.
Review, update and communicate standards, guidelines, core components.
Support projects with knowledge.
Provide 3rd line production support.
Organize Knowledge Sharing's Sessions.
Analyse needs of the development teams; propose an action plan and follow-up on implementation.
Knowledge of configuration and release management
Knowledge of technical architecture concepts (two tier/three tier, web services, messaging, file transfer, ETL/EAI)
Ideally, the specialist is a bit of an all-rounder, having an in-depth knowledge of .NET/Java and having technical experience with the other tools.
Required experience/skills
In-depth knowledge and technical experience with.NET and Java. (mandatory!)
Ability to work as a team member.
Excellent communication skills with both IT and business.
Should be able to follow the standards at the organization level and able mentor the developers.
Prefers to work in a collaboratively and co-operatively environment with others across the
international network and Matrix organization.
Result oriented: sets high standards, has high analytical skills and delivers accordingly, and takes actions to ensure that others do the same.
Minimum 3 year of experience with the following skills: .NET/Java administration, patches, upgrades
Minimum 4 years' experience working with multiple Team/Onsite/Offsite work experience
