Our Reputable, Large Scale Organisation is currently looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

As the successful .NET Developer, you will work closely with architects, web developers, business analysts and product developers to design and build cutting-edge products on our Microsoft based technology stack.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS

Expertise in:

  • C#, VB.NET
  • ASP.NET (1.1 - 3.5)
  • Webservices/SOAP
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005
  • Webaii (or Selenium using C#)
  • Comparison and merging using tools such as Red Gate's SQL [Data] Compare or VSTSDB
  • Unit testing using NUnit
  • Model View Presenter (MVP) and Model View Controller (MVC) patterns.
  • .NET Remoting/MSMQ

Exposure to:

  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010
  • Memory Leak Testing and rectification
  • Visual Studio Database Edition (including database release process)
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Windows Forms, WCF.
  • HP Openview
  • Mobile application development
  • XML
  • VB6
  • Microsoft ASP
  • COM+
  • Altiris Packaging and Deployment
  • DTS/SSIS
  • SQL Profiler

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities

  • Experience in a high-performance (resilient, low-latency) environment is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of equities and similar financial services is highly regarded.
  • Analytical skills and/or prior experience as an Analyst Programmer is highly regarded.
