Purpose of Position:
The Meaningful Use (MU) business analyst will function as a key spokesperson for the clinical strategy to meet MU and champion the deployment and effective use of the clinical information systems to meet those requirements. The key focus of this role is on successful implementation of an electronic health record system and the achievement of MU across the organization. The individual will provide experiences and insights on how best to identify and roll out standard workflows to meet MU. Additionally, this role will ensure education and change management activities are developed and executed in multiple hospitals prepared to meet MU according to the timeline established for the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities

MU Business Analysis

o Comprehend, document, and analyze user needs and system solution expectations
o Manages clinical process and oversees development of standard workflows to facilitate MU compliance within a multi hospital Behavioral Healthcare environment
o Participates in overall planning and implementation for electronic health records
o Trainsand educates end-users in proper use of developed solutions
o Understands major trends in healthcare and managed care

Manage Client Relationship

o Works collaboratively with the leadership team to develop the vision for MU
o Provides leadership of MU implementation including interpretation, clinical workflow analysis, system capabilities, reporting outcomes and defining optimization
o Familiar with point of care products and clinical informatics trends and tools

Navigate EHRs/MU Project Team(s)

o Assist in creation of accurate project documentation
o Ensure solution designs and realization meet business needs
o Involve end-users in development andimplementation of hospital work

KSA's and/or Competencies required:
The MU business analyst will be able to effectively communicate initiatives and data to a range of audiences; understands the clinical process and work flows; has strong hospital implementation knowledge and experience; is a systems thinker with strong organizational skills who can pull all the pieces together and deliver on time and within budget.
