System Dynamics, Ireland's leading IT services company has an urgent requirement for an experienced WebSphere Application Server/MQ Consultant to join our Dublin based team. Role involves:
Build and management of WebSphere ND
Architect WAS for an enterprise wide roll out with existing topology (cells/nodes, LDAP, DB Servers, JMS, etc).
Performance Tune WebSphere Application Server by configuring caching, queuing, pooling, JVM parameters.
Environment/Builds and deployments of new services.
Engineer Performance strategy to provide benchmarking and capacity planning statistics.
Systems/Applications Management using Administrative Interfaces Systems Management (Admin Console, WSAdmin, CA Wily).
Troubleshoot using WAS logs, Site/Log Analysers, Thread Analyser.
Design Security strategy (use of SSL/Firewalls between tiers, define and implement Security Roles/Policies, LDAP, etc).
Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with J2EE specifications and applications
Experience working effectively in a multi-platform environment and applications hosted on Solaris, HPUX, Linux and Windows
Development and maintenance of operational documentation and specifications on system builds and SOPs.
- WebSphere MQ 6.0/7.0 administration on Unix and Windows environments (Mainframe environment advantageous)
- WebSphere MQ upgrades and maintenance
- Implement MQ client, server and channel security
- Configure and maintain MQ monitoring
