Vision System Engineer
Our client is a multinational company with operations in Leixlip, Co Kildare. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Vision System Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
This position requires a basic understanding of applying machine vision technology in a manufacturing environment for: on-line and off-line inspection, vision controlled positioning, defect analysis, and character recognition.
Responsibilities:
1. Development, deployment and support of Test Systems for the manufacturing environment.
2. Working with our partners to analyze requirements and the provision of solutions to address those needs.
Skills and Aptitudes:
- Strong technical project management/organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
Experience and knowledge:
- Strong programming skills (in some of C/C++, VB, .NET, Java)
- Experience of working with software development methodologies/tools
- Experience of developing systems in an object-oriented environment
- HW/SW debugging skills
Desired:
- Experience in applications of computer vision
- Experience/knowledge of requirements of high volume hi-tech manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of PC Operating Systems
- Strong C++ and C# skills
- Familiar with selection of optics and lighting techniques.
