Description

A Category/Procurement manager is required for a contract role based in Doncaster for an initial 3 month duration.

The Category manager will be required to provide customer-focused service for the procurement of goods and services in a public sector environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Central Government Procurement policy
Knowledge of procurement principles
Understanding of Procurement standards and procedures
IT Literacy including Oracle E-procurement suite
Knowledge of EU public sector procurement legislation
Awareness of Gateway Review Process
Understanding of OGC Buying Solutions
Experience of developing and critiquing procurement strategies
Experience of supplier management
Experience of negotiating high value contracts
