The Senior ETL Software Developer performs analysis, design and implementation of ETL processes and architecture for Datawarehouse, Operational Data Store (ODS), and other data structures that support our client's web applications and Business Intelligence operations. The Senior ETL Developer role will work closely with key departmental, management and project stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role.

Responsibilities:

Analyzes requirements and existing resources to create efficient database and ETL designs that meet company IT standards.

Participates in all phases of the ETL development life cycle, including unit testing and ongoing support.

Works with project and business analyst leads in order to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements.

Assists/provides guidance to other team members.

Experience:

8+ years experience in software engineering.
o Demonstrated experience with SQL Server RDMS platform; preferably 2005 and 2008.

Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Strong Transact-SQL skills.

Experience in a large scale Oracle RDMS environment a plus, preferably 11g.

Experience with the Informatica ETL tool is a plus.

Solid, quantifiable experience in advanced PL/SQL techniques a plus.

Experience in UNIX Shell and Windows Scripting a plus.

ETL design skills in a Data Warehousing environment.

Ability to analyze complex ETL workflows from heterogeneous data sources.

Experienced in large Enterprise Datawarehouse projects.

o System architecture and development experience in a high transaction/high availability systems.

o Strong background in full life cycle development using multiple platforms or languages.

o Ability to interact with Management and Software Developers, on- and off-site.

o Ability to interact at a technical and non-technical level with Infrastructure, Network, Development, BA and QA teams.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including facilitation and team leadership skills

Proven ability to provide strong problem solving skills.

Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance

Must be flexible, be able to change priorities quickly, and handle multiple tasks concurrently Individual must be a self-starter and capable of working independently as well as part of a team

Capable of learning new tools and technologies.

Capable of working independently and in a team.
