Oracle DBA ( Oracle DBA ) Luxembourg
We are looking for an Oracle DBA for a 6 month contract for one of our client in Luxembourg to start ASAP.
The successful Oracle SDBA would be fluent in English and be skilled with Oracle RDBMS 10g, 11g and 11g R2, AIX, Dataguard, RAC and Oracle Enterprise Manager to provide the following duties:
- The administration of Oracle database systems, including installation of new systems, upgrades and maintenance to existing systems and resolving any problems related to the database.
- Involvement in infrastructure/application project work, offering advice and guidance.
- Monitoring, pro-active maintenance and performance tuning of the databases.
- The role will involve being the first point of contact in the group, as a hit person, providing 3rd line support for application programmers on infrastructure database problems. In addition, business as usual tasks such as migrating database changes into production systems.
- There will also be an element of supporting toolkits that manage and support the database platform and client connectivity to the databases.
- To support the infrastructure, apply patches and perform upgrades, out of hours working may be required on occasions to fit in with agreed application maintenance windows.
