Our client is the leading computer components brand seeking a Validation Engineer to set up systems and run validation tests. If you have hardware and firmware experience, contact us as soon as possible!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Experience executing hardware and software validation plans
  • Ability to deduce system bugs and create bugs with logs and instructions on how to reproduce bugs
  • Ability to navigate Linux command line
  • Understanding of Linux file systems and system structure
  • Some Linux Systems administration experience
  • Hardware skills, specifically the ability to build Linux hardware and software systems from ground up
  • Self-motivation and ability to take the initiative to resolve problems or issues discovered in the testing process

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Troubleshooting software, hardware and firmware: Ability to troubleshoot systems, deducing if it problem is a misconfiguration or a bug that needs to be fixed by a developer
  • BIOS: Upgrading, troubleshooting, root sourcing issues with bios, if applicable
  • Scripting: Experience Scripting tests using bash, Perl or python
  • Compiling: Ability to understand and execute the process of compiling kernels and code on Linux operating systems

Estimated hours per week: 40 hours (standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Overtime not permitted unless pre-approved by the sponsor.
