National Atlanta based organization is looking to add a Sr. Teradata DBA to their team for a long term assignment. You will be responsible for creating and executing scripts for various database maintenance activities. Provide guidelines for development and production. Perform database tuning including monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing performance of the databases. Develop archival, backup and recovery strategy.
Technical Skills Required:
- Plan, perform and monitor database backups.
- Perform database recoveries.
- Provide 247 on call production support.
- Serves as escalation point for database issues.
- 5 to 7 years experience as a Teradata Administrator.
- Experience in Datawarehouse/large database implementation and support.
- Experience performing 24/7 production support for Teradata environments.
- Experience with Unix and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Teradata Management and Teradata load Utilities.
- Extensive experience with Enterprise Data Warehouses required.
- Capable of supporting and implementing technology projects as the primary DBA in support of business initiatives.
- Proven diagnostic problem solving and solution development capabilities required.
