Communications Manager - 6 month Contract - Stockley Park - Market Rates

My client a leading FTSE 100 energy company with offices in Stockley park is looking to recruit a Communications Manager on an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be expected to Manage and execute the communications program, as well as post-implementation communication to all users. Responsible for managing communications to stakeholders at all levels within the business on the customer side and sponsor side.

The Role

  • Manage and execute the communications program, as well as post-implementation communication to all users. Responsible for managing communications to stakeholders at all levels within the business on the customer side and sponsor side.
  • The Communications Manager will provide appropriate stakeholders with formal, organized knowledge of change initiatives through a variety of media in order to educate, motivate and sustain the implementation;
  • Communication development, implementation & measurement;
  • Within acceptable time/cost/quality criteria (including sourcing and management of suppliers), effectively managing any contingencies and interdependencies;
  • Provide weekly updates to Project leads to evolve and report on the Plan's progress, flag issues and spend against budget;
  • Write and/or coordinate content for all planned communications;
  • Influence & advise business leaders in their communications as per the plan and facilitate effective two-way communications;
  • Provide advice on communication interventions/products relating to the plan;
  • Check impact of proposed activity challenging back appropriately, if needed;
  • Devise and manage appropriate measurement mechanisms (surveys, forms, user groups), implementing conclusions to create a cycle of continuous improvement;
  • Manage any agency involvement in support of the plan;
  • Internal team meeting event management;
  • Ad hoc communications requests from DCT or the Function;
  • Coach business leaders on enhancing communications, including presentation style, feedback, use of language;
  • Demonstrate excellent team working within the project and the wider cross- Communications team;
  • Share best practice and learning with colleagues and seek continuous improvement opportunities, actively seeking coaching and feedback opportunities for own and others' development;
  • Lead the process change communications and engagement activity;
  • Ensure that the organization utilizes the appropriate Management Of Change (MoC) tools and techniques to successfully deliver the objectives of the program;
  • Lead, coach or personally implement the MoC tools and techniques as appropriate and practical;
    Implement the appropriate practical methods to ensure that the intended changes remain Embedded as the new way of working;
  • Assist in driving process improvement.
