For or client in Den Haag (the netherlands) we are searching for a technical storage support on Netapp.
start date: ASAP for at least 12 months, on site in Den Haag.
project role
Main activities:
- Work closely with business customers to understand their demand for amount and type of storage
- Close working relationship with the end users and IT outsourced suppliers to deliver a stable end to end service
- End to End problem management and monitoring across the storage environment.
- On boarding (technical, support, finance) of new functionality into the service
- Develop tools and solutions either in house or in cooperation with storage service provider.
- Document, maintain and improve service performance metrics
- Maintain and implement new technologies and best practices
- Translating customer requirements in infrastructure design and managing component infrastructure providers delivery on new requirements
- Migration to new technology
Must have:
- Good Exposure to Storage Technologies
- Operational support experience with NetApp Storage.
- Infrastructure hosting skills focused on the Redhat Linux OS and/or Windows
- Pro-active attitude - propose and execute technical and service related improvements.
- Customer focused and pro-active attitude - enjoy customer facing, taking end-to-end responsibility.
- Be able to work with various specialized multinational support teams to bring complex requests or problems to timely resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- In-depth analytical and troubleshooting skills on a variety of platforms.
- Open to new challenges and good adaptability to various technical environments
- Strong willingness to learn, improve and share knowledge
Nice-to-have/preferred:
- Experience participating in a virtual team of people delivering services
- Experience in multinational/multicultural enterprise.
- Exposure to the Exploration and Production business, preferably in the Subsurface/Geomatics arena. - Experience in applications such as Openworks, Petrel, ArcGIS would be a plus.
