SAP BW/SAP ABAP technical Consultant
Montreal Associates are currently conducting a search for a Senior SAP BW/SAP ABAP technical Consultant who is capable of driving a project, analyze the SAP BW landscape as a whole, and communicate well with the business and AM organisations.
SAP BW/SAP ABAP technical Consultant Activities include:
- Retention period and "Clean up" of data
- Review retention document and change where applicable.
- Cube level: should be partitioned by time retention period = amount of periods
- DSO level: retention time should be defined after which data gets deleted or archived (question is archiving necessary - maybe already archive in source systems).
- Master data clean up.
- PSA clean up.
Project description of SAP BW/SAP ABAP technical Consultant:
Reduce the database by deleting redundant data and setting retention time on the DSO layer and Cube layer and making sure it will be handed over as a continuous task, Also have an approach for "Clean up" of Master Data. Go thru all the cubes that are on the accelerator SAP BWA (SAP Business Warehouse Accelerator) and remove data that don't need to be there.
Required skills of SAP BW/SAP ABAP technical Consultant:
- Senior BW/SAP ABAP consultant.
- High analytical skills required.
- Must be able to drive a project and act independently.
- Needs to be able of communicating well with a excellent command of English to business clients and end users.
- SAP BWA ( SAP Business Warehouse Accelerator)
- Set up a working process for managing space in the SAP BWA
- Review the cubes on the accelerator and work with data owners in the business to secure a priority list.
- Implement the recommendations and hand-over to AO for continuous maintenance.
- "Clean up" of old objects.
- Review all queries in the system and work with the business responsible to remove redundant queries.
- Review all process chains and work together with AO team to remove redundant objects.
- Other objects to be reviewed.
