Credit Controller - 3 Month Fixed Term Contract

Based - Hatfield
A fantastic opportunity has arisen based in the Hatfield office of Computacenter, for a Credit Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible of maximising Computacenter's cash flow through the timely collection of debts and reduce aged debt in line with company targets and credit policy, and to develop and maintain excellent working relationships both with external customers and other internal departments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Cash collection
- Ascertaining details of queries preventing payment
- Understanding customers' payment processes
- Developing improved payment processes in conjunction with customers
- Developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Providing debt updates
- Escalating debt related issues
- Improving internal/customer processes
- Sourcing and resolving queries
- Ledger reviews
- Escalation of debt related issues
- Cash and debt performance reporting
- Logging queries
- Tracking and monitoring progress of queries
- Resolving queries
- Interdepartmental liaison, principally with Sales Ledger, Credit Assessment and Treasury
- Contributing to Credit Services procedures
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience of Credit Control in a large corporate environment
- Expeirence with dealing of ledgers of £5-10 million
- Initiative and resilience
- Good standard of numeracy
- Ideally knowledge of SAP (not essential, training will be provided)
- Experience of computerised accounting systems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to deal with people at all levels
- Flexibility and ability to work with change
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
- Ability to prioritise
Skills Desired:
- ICM Membership
- Experience of operating in a sales-led environment
- Knowledge of leasing
