Senior Business Analyst
Context Our client, located in Brussels, is looking to improve its development process on two areas: requirements management and continuous software integration. The projects handled by our client are very large (over 70 men/year), strategically important (business mission critical environment) and with a high degree of complexity (technical, organisational and functional). Our client develops software for internal use but the resulting output of the software is impacting our daily life across Europe.
Common elements for the profiles
- Excellent English and French communication skills (writing, reading, spoken); Dutch would be an asset but is no requirement
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate with the various stakeholders (users, architects, developers, testers, support teams, );
- Proficient in the following toolset: MS Office (Wrd, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision)
- Experience with Real Time and/or mission critical systems
- Proven experience of working in European multicultural environment
- Proven experience of working in the European public sector

Role
- Through workshops, establish a common understanding of the requirements collection and follow-up process within the organisation from (external) business users to development teams through the project and domain managers
- Use Six Sigma techniques (or similar techniques), CMMI (for development version 1.2) and Process Improvement methodologies to improve the requirements development and - management processes and the overall organisational analysis on requirements usage
- Help the organisation define and implement a new requirement collection and follow-up framework using own experience as well as state of the art practices
Skills & Experience
- Extended experience in requirements collection and in specification of complex IT systems
- Strong knowledge and understanding of process (improvement) frameworks (eg CMMI for development, Six Sigma, )
- Strong experience in Requirement Development and - Management process, organisation and tools
- Strong experience with IT development life cycles, projects and larger programmes
- Experience in Project Management methods, tools and techniques
- Experience in organisation and leading workshops with large set of stakeholders having strong opinions
- Strong communicative skills and experience in public speaking for large groups and different stakeholder
- Experience in basic statistical analysis to support business analysis and process improvements
- Preferably, certified Six Sigma Black Belt
- Preferably SEI trained in CMMI for Development (version 1.2 or 1.3)
- Preferably, a technical background or experience in complex IT projects
