My client is a Government Department looking for a Franchise Procurement Lead for a long term interim position. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial management and negotiation experience of major, complex commercial contracts along with transport/rail experience.
The role holder will be responsible for leading the delivery of the commercial and procurement aspects of a future franchise in accordance with the projects objectives and timetable.
Main responsabilities:-
- To provide specialist commercial and procurement skills
- To own the project's commercial strategy
- Lead the procurement process
- Develop and lead the negotiation strategy
- Lead relationships with bidders
- Initiate, lead and disseminate lessons from the project to support continuous improvement within the Department.
