Description
For this contract position with a world-renowned computer manufacturer, you will assist a team that provides support a wide variety of products including but not limited to wired networking products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of related work experience
- Ability to use basic features in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook) productivity tools
- Understanding of Ethernet networking at a basic level
- Understanding of the role and function of basic network components such as a Router, switch, and NIC
- Knowledge of physical media types used in Ethernet
- Understanding of IP Addressing and routing at a basic level
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7 (or Server 2008 or Server 2008 R2
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to fast changing environment
- Enthusiasm
- Good time management and organization skills
- Good technical writing skills
- Detail oriented
- Some project management skills
Additional skills (Nice to have):
- Advanced Ethernet networking skills
- Familiarity with Ethernet devices and configuration
- Knowledge of virtualization using Hyper-V (++ for live migration and clusters)
Estimated length of assignment: 12 weeks
Number of positions: 1
Hours per week: 40 hours (standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Overtime not permitted without approval.
