Senior Business Analyst - Banking - London - Circa £500 per day

A leading retail bank requires an experienced Senior Business Analyst to participate in a major divestment programme.

Purpose of the Project

The objective of the Verde Programme is to establish and manage the divestment of a stand-alone UK Banking business.

Purpose of the role

  • A Senior Business Analyst is required to define impacts and mitigation solutions to Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions platforms and processes as the result of the Verde Programme.
  • To undertake analysis of a variety of Sanctions solutions and procedures
  • To support definition of modifications required for divestment
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Analyse and document business processes via modelling and process maps.

Core Skills and Experience

  • Must have had exposure to Sanctions bank processes (specifically Customer Screening and Payments Screening)
  • Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes and models
  • Proven experience interacting directly with key business stakeholders and end users
  • Knowledge of operating model review and re-establishment
  • Analytical skills and good understanding of Payments industry, including best practice
  • Knowledge of Payments systems, specifically those used by Lloyds Banking Group

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience within the Financial Services Sector
  • Previous experience in integration or divestment

Additional Information

The role is based in London but may require travelling to other offices within London and Birmingham.
