Network Architect - Cisco OSPF, Juniper, Netscreen, CiscoASA - Financial Services, Centeal London

Excellent day rate + 3 month rolling contract + Immediate start

A tier one investment bank in London is looking to hire an experienced Network Architect to join their Global Networking and Voice team in London. You will need to have experience of large scale environments similar to that seen in investment banking or financial services based organization. You need to be confident dealing with Cisco Routers and Switches, Cisco ASA, Juniper netscreen and Juniper Remote Access platforms.

The successful Candidate will likely have a sound understanding of LAN technologies as applied to the Cisco product range covering the Catalyst Switch range both modular and chassis based. Extensive experience in provide engineering, deployment and support services for large Network infrastructures and excellent understanding in network security and perimeter networking with and understanding of security threats and mitigations. CCIE Routing and switching would be beneficial.

  • The setup and configuration of Cisco Switches in accord with best practice
  • The setup and configuration of both Juniper Netscreen and Cisco PIX/ASA Firewalls
  • Work with and configure a number of different routing protocols specifically OSPF and EIGRP
  • IP Addressing schemas
  • The implementation of QoS across the LAN
  • Structured cabling both copper and fibre optic services
  • Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Translate Customer requirements in to high level and low level design documents
  • Input to planning meetings for the migration of services
  • Have a good understanding of the requirements of GCSX code of connection
  • Have a good understanding of the requirements for N3 code of connection
  • Experience to troubleshoot and perform configuration changes during major outages.
  • Good understanding and awareness of Windows Server, Active Directory, LDAP.
  • Good understanding of Linux/Unix and an ability to write Shell Scripts.
