An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Document Controller with our client in Bristol, a world leading Oil and Gas company.

This is a key role within the Subsea Services Centre of Excellence and will be responsible for delivery of projects within the Subsea Services business, providing proficient and effective Administrative support to the Project Team to ensure project goals are met. Primarily, the job holder shall manage the Project's document management system in accordance with D&PSs internal procedures and specific Customer requirements. The PA will also be responsible for technical administrative support to the engineers through ePIMS.

Note that certain roles will be specific to the site location and driven by the local business system and working practices:
* Perform format quality check of documents and ensure they are submitted for customer, supplier or internal use.
* Utilising an electronic document management system to maintain control of documents. Review status of the documentation, including overdue actions, non-conformities and customer communications and generate periodic reports as per agreed project routine.
* Review client specifications for the particular project and identify any requirements that give rise to deviations from
* Support the Project Manager and Team in the generation and submission of the periodic Customer reports as required by the Contract.
* Maintenance of Codes of Practice and Procedure Instructions using MSWord. To include revision updates and maintenance on ePIMs.
* Maintenance of MSWord document templates using Macro's & Visual Basic language.
* Maintain a consistent approach to the operation of ePIMs. Data loading to ePIMs as required.
* General administrative support which may include maintenance of holiday and overtime records, skills matrices, expediting timesheets and ordering of stationary.
* Liaising with the Project Manager, generate Sales Orders (SO) using the information contained in Customers' Contracts or Purchase Orders (POs).
* Maintain SO due dates as advised by Project Team.
* Raise Pick and Pack Lists as advised by the Project Manager. Liaise with Shipping/Logistics teams as required.
* Create and maintain the Project Milestone Payment Schedule. Create and issue Milestone Certificates to client and expedite their timely return. Raise and issue Milestone invoices in conjunction with the Project Accountant.

The role must interface with the Customer, Functional Teams and Supliers as required across both Subsea CoE and Services.

Contractor Ideal/Special Experience:
Person: Strong drive and enthusiasm to deliver.
PC literate: Uses PC packages to ensure that administration required by contract/Project Team is efficient and effective. Good knowledge of MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and an ability to learn in-house systems competently.
Document Control: Has a good understanding of and a thorough approach to setting up and maintaining document control systems.
Contract awareness: Can establish duties and responsibilities required of their role through reading/reviewing the Contract. Sets up and maintains systems to deliver against these.
