Position Description:
Experienced programmer analyst in Flex development, Also, Java and SQL programming experience strongly desired, and exposure to IDEs like Eclipse, and Flex Builder. Exposure to Mate framework and Agile/XP, preferred. This developer will also need to be able to work independently with minimal direction. The resource will be required to be on site in downtown Oakland. The required duration of the effort will be no less than 12 months, and require the resource to be on site in downtown Oakland.
In addition, the resource should have the following skills:
High degree of creativity, interaction design and problem solving ability.
Very strong communication verbal and writing skills (Ability to communicate one's ideas through their articulation of design)
Proven track record and a passion for designing compelling user interfaces.
Ability to translate requirements into concepts and elegant user design, interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
Possess practical experience employing user centered design methods
Assert willingness to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve streamline the user experience
Excellent presentation skills & and attention to detail + Experience working with various departments within a product team + Team player
Possesses a great portfolio of work/samples of interaction design work.
Expertise in visual design using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator is expected.
Prototyping skills using tools like Flash, Flex, Dreamweaver. Knowledge of Adobe Flex, very much preferred
The resource will also be required to translate detailed design into computer software. He/She will support testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product. Experience Level: 5+ Years with Java or similar language. 2 years with Flex development experience. Candidate will possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Candidate will be familiar with relational database concepts, and Client Server concepts.
