Description
Key responsibilities are to:
- Reading and working to wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams, assembly drawings and bill of materials.
- Wiring up the prototype tools to local best practise
- Assembling small numbers of circuit boards (SMT & Through hole)
- Pulling together information from drawings, verbal instructions
- Marking up documents and feeding back corrections
- Ensuring best practises are maintained in the assembly
- Continuity checking of wiring against documentation
- Assisting with the testing where required.
- Ordering parts using local stores as well as online from RS and Farnell.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Proven relative experience working in an manufacturing/R&D environment
* PC Literate
* Ability to communicate with Engineers on a technical level.
* Must possess all the necessary work and residency permits to work in the UK.
* Ability to work with mechanical and electrical drawings.
ATTRIBUTES:
- Experience working in a prototyping environment
- Ability to use computer packages to review electrical and simple mechanical designs.
- Ability to prioritise work to meet the agreed deadlines
