We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist, with strong knowledge of Storage technologies, to join this leading IT & Management Consulting company on a major migration and transformation project currently underway at a Tier 1 Investment Bank in the Netherlands. This exceptional opportunity will suit someone with an enviable technical skill set who will become the lead technical expert on Storage technologies for this project.
Our client is one of the world's largest and best renowned IT & Management Consulting companies, they operate globally and across technologies and disciplines. In the Netherlands they partner and supply to a vast proportion of the Market and can be accounted for a significant percentage of the IT Consulting work, in particular for this role, they manage and run all of the IT Infrastructure of a major Dutch Investment Bank.
The role at hand is working within this division on a multi-project programme to enable the investment bank to run fewer and more efficient Data Centres by migrating all of the data and operations to new and fully upgraded data centres.
For these projects we require a skilled and experience Senior Infrastructure specialist with the following skill set and knowledge:
+ Advanced knowledge of enterprise backup solutions and high-end storage systems.
+ Advanced knowledge of storage functionality & tools.
+ Good Knowledge of Tivoli, UNIX Scripting, Block based replication techniques.
+ Knowledge of Storage Networking/SAN (including Brocade DCX series).
+ Good knowledge platform and virtualization technology.
+ Knowledge of Oa TSM, TS3500, TS7650G, HDS USP/VSP series as a platform with IBM P-Series; VMware, IBM Virtual IO Server, Solaris 10
As well as the above technical skill set it is very important to the client that we find someone with strong communication skills who is going to able to work without direct supervision, accurately and diligently.
The role itself will entail:
# Implementation and integration of existing and additional infrastructure components (Platform, TSM Server, SAN storage and tape libraries) of the backup infrastructure.
# Provide support for operational storage d2d activities.
# Preparing and supporting changes in capacity and performance management.
# Where necessary, provide 3rd line support to incidents and problems related to the project.
This role is at a senior consultant level for a client and will be a key representative of the company on client site.
