Description
Our client is a hugely popular computer manufacturing company seeking help building out a lab (tens-hundreds of systems): machine installation, setup, configuration, network cabling, switch configuration, etc.
This candidate will be installing Servers, installing operating systems onto those Servers, installing drivers/other software onto the Servers, wiring the network connections in the lab, configuring Switches to hook up to the Servers; all will be done under the direction of our test lead.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Hardware knowledge, able to install CPUs, hard drives, etc.
- Ability to install OS's
- Previous usage of Ghost or similar imaging software a plus
- Ability to lift/carry up to about 30 pounds
- Familiarity with patch panels, cables, other general network infrastructure
- Any previous networking work from a configuration perspective, switch management, KVM experience etc.
