Description
We are looking for a Pricing Actuary to work a 6 month role based in London or Craigforth, Scotland for a large FTSE 100 company.
Job Details:
This is an opportunity to fulfil a challenging and valuable role, with the successful candidate being responsible for the pricing of new bulk annuity deals, individual non-profit annuities and outward reassurance deals. It works closely with the Corporate Solutions team in writing large bulk annuity deals for developing non-profit annuity standard and enhanced annuities.
The role is for an experienced and versatile Actuary to provide actuarial input and support on a variety of projects, including:
* Bulk Annuity Deals
* Inward or outward reinsurance transactions
* Developing and optimising pricing process, including SII.
The requirements for the individual are:
* Strong Actuarial knowledge across all reporting bases
* Strong skills of analysis and attention to detail
* Able to work co-operatively with different teams across different locations, developing strong and productive relationships
* Able to work autonomously and drive work forward with minimal supervision
* Innovative in finding new ways to approach and solve problems
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively when working to tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, whether dealing with detailed legal contracts or short business summary information
