Category Lead - Engineering Services - Brentford
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Category Lead to join their team in Brentford within Engineering Services.
The Engineering Services category lead will have responsibility for ensuring engagement with Key Stakeholders, up to and including VP level, and ensuring that end users and PSCM are fully aligned and working towards agreed plans across teams and ensuring alignment with Global strategies where applicable.
The PSCM Engineering Services Category Lead will act as a sourcing lead for all engineered services. Included in the category are Repair and Maintenance contractors, including lead contractor Fabric maintenance and repair. There may also be the requirement to support some Minor Projects category areas if required.
The Region utilises Ariba for all sourcing activity and the potential applicants should be aware of and experienced in applying best practice category management and sourcing processes. The role holder will also be responsible for developing & implementing supplier management relationships with key strategic vendors on an as needed basis.
Essential Experience:
Degree qualified or equivalent preferred.
CIPS qualified or working towards.
Experience in working with engineering services and contractors.
Sourcing & tendering experience, including use of e-sourcing tools eg Ariba.
Development of sourcing plans, both project & programme.
Experience in managing supplier relationships.
Development of Category Plans.Strong facilitation & stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Experience:
Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry experience.
Global/Multi-national business experience.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office products ie PowerPoint, Access & Excel.
Being able to work under pressure and stringent time constraints.Team leader as well as working under own initiative.
