Volt Life Sciences is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Pharmaceutical company in seeking a QC Specialist for one of their sites that produces some of the UK's best known brands in the Oral Healthcare space.

Responsibilities:
- Using conventional and new technologies and methods, analyse data and/or samples (raw materials, packaging, bulk tanker deliveries, water, bulk product, packed stock etc) to confirm the spec has been met and that they are fit for purpose.
- Prepare reagents and other media to carry out analyses.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot instruments as necessary, documenting activities performed, engineer visits etc.
- Identify and report anomalous results, initiating and carrying out investigations in quality related issues where necessary, informing business centres of issues as soon as possible.
- Generate CoA, issue internal specs and carry out pharmacopoeial reviews as necessary.
- Promote continuous improvement through day to day work and take part in continuous improvement projects.
- Follow Good Control Laboratory Practices (GcLP) at all times.

The successful candidate:
-Educated to BSc or equivalent level qualification in a Life Science discipline
-Prior experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment
-Prior experience with Pharmaceutical products of advantage
-Working knowledge of QC in liquids and gels of distinct advantage
