This position will work AS NEEDED by the department.

Job Description:

Analyzes user requirements, procedures and problems to automate business processes, upgrades or modify existing systems and review system-wide capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.

Job Responsibilities:

Serve a key role for system implementations, upgrades and maintenance activities as needed for the Hospital and State Office application system.

Design, develop, test, analyze and maintain software application in support of the achievement of business requirements.

Maintain application security (roles/permissons).

Maintain external interfaces inbound and outbound application(s).

Serve as a liaison between system vendors, other State agencies and customers.

Translate functional business requirements into technical specifications and designs.

Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to business owners.

Design and develop reports.

Qualifications:

Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND one year of related experience OR One year of experience at the lower level or position equivalent (GSP011) or Five years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, possess the following:

Experience with implementing and/or supporting applications.

Extensive knowledge of KRONOS Workforce Management System.

Two+ years of SQL

Must have ability to write SQL statements to extract and integrate data, create store procedures.

Ability to retrieve and display data in usable formats.

In-depth knowledge and experience with relational databases/concepts and query tools.

Experience with report development/maintenance using an enterprise reporting application such as Crystal Reports desired.

Critical thinking and logical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communications.

Ability to work as a team member.
