We currently have an initial 3+ month contract opportunity to work as an Incident Management Officer with a leading global IT outsourcing company based in Northern NSW.
The Incident Management Officer is accountable for managing all high priority and critical incidents through to resolution, escalation and closure as per the High Priority Incident Process. You will also provide strategic support to the Incident Management Coordinator and the Service Desk.

The main responsibilities of the successful candidate are;

  • Coordination of Incident management and resolution ensuring the high priority incident escalation process is followed
  • Provide proactive network monitoring and diagnosis
  • Take ownership of incidents and act as a primary level of escalation for all stakeholders, vendors and IT customers by providing leadership and advice to all parties ensuring communication and information levels are maintained.
  • Monitor, review and audit processes by liaising with all relevant stakeholders to analyse incidents and events to determine the correction of underlying issues and develop business procedures that are documented for future incidents
  • Assist with development, improvements and maintenance of the Incident systems and tools
  • Review, Create, and update service desk processes, procedures, and documentation and provide technical instruction and support to Service Desk staff for implementation of new and existing applications/systems

Experience/qualifications required for this role are;

  • Demonstrated competency in IT Incident Management
  • Working with Corporate Operating Systems and Messaging Services
  • Using call logging software eg Service Manager (Infra) or similar
  • Working experience in a large TCP/IP Networking environment
  • Minimum 2 years working effectively in an IT and team environment
  • Very strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • MCP Certification
