The leading player in the retail space is currently looking for an Infrastructure Designer with insight into the current changing end user landscape, to develop strategies from traditional desktop to higher use of mobility solutions and cloud based services. This will be a 6 month contract.Must have outstanding technical skills and the ability to drive and transform development work on a variety of technologies, but not limited to Cloud, Citrix Xenapp, Exchange, Office, Messaging, Desktop SOE and Application Virtualisation. You will be working with various departments to integrate end user solutions into enterprise systems. Technical skills

  • Knowledge of Cloud based end user computing services and ability  to guide it's integration into existing services.
  • Design proficiency with Exchange 2010 (and beyond). Administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale multi-site    environment
  • Experience with Citrix systems analysis, design, implementation and 3rd level support
  • Experience in Mobile Device Management and mobile email devices such as Blackberry and iDevices (and other, similar technologies)
  • Sound working knowledge of remote access technology such as VPN, Citrix Access Gateways
  • Knowledge of VMware EXS technology
  • Knowledge of Server 2003 and 2008 technology to utilise in use of service catalogue and design work for end user services

You will bring to the role

  • The ability to bring your high level technical skills in the end user space, combined with a strong understanding of the user's needs to develop the right solutions suitable for all
  • Able to drive strategy and transformation
  • The ability to work with all departments in integrating end user solutions into enterprise systems to provide a more streamlined solution

Your responsibilities will be:

  • To design and develop end user solutions
  • Design and Integration of core desktop applications such as MS Office and core client services such as browser services, messaging and video
  • Design, implementation, maintenance and disaster recovery planning for a large Exchange environment
  • Strong Active Directory and authentication skills
  • Manage the appropriate setup of applications and systems reliant upon Exchange, including Blackberry and iDevices.
