The opportunity to work within a prestigious EU institution as an Interface Designer for Application Support makes this a fantastic opportunity.Role:
- Design and implementation of user interfaces taking into account user ergonomics and usability
- Implementation of a graphical user interface as specified and according to ECDC standards and guidelines
- Making sure that a user interface works well in a predefined set of browsers and versions of browsers
- Contributing in testing (User Acceptance Tests and tests in development environments)
- Develop documentation including help text, report samples, and screen samples
- Create/find new GUI components/images when no such component exists previously
- University degree with minimum 1 year of experience in user interfaces and graphical design OR non university degree with minimum 2 years of experience in user interfaces and graphical design
- 1+ years of designing, implementing and maintaining graphical user interfaces for web applications (master pages, layouts, web parts) using JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSLT, HTML/XHTML and CSS
- Demonstrated ability to customize visual interfaces in SharePoint 2010 by modifying SharePoint components like: master pages, page layouts, CSS and themes
- Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Designer
- Experience in working with Adobe Creative Suite
- Web development and maintenance of ASP.NET projects using C#
- Experience with Visual Studio 2010 and TFS 2010
- Experience working in Agile development environment, preferably SCRUM
- Implement GUI on mobile devices
- Design user interface mock-ups
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and willingness to work in a team
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application development and graphic design
- Very good knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, JavaScript and AJAX techniques
- Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for creating/editing images for the Web
- Fundamental graphic design and web design skills including presentation, layout, composition, colour, and readability
- Very good command of English; oral and written
- Be able to understand and analyse technical requirements
