Are you a Senior Analyst Programmer/Developer with solid C++ skills and Transactional Processing experience? If the answer is yes, one of Australia's largest finance companies is looking for you...

This is a key role to join a team working on an award winning investment administration system. You will be working on a cashiering system involving transactional processing.

Your role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the review and redesign of processes or procedures, on an ongoing basis, to deliver improved team productivity or efficiency
  • Use technical specifications, requirements, standards and procedures to develop/modify structured code to produce quality programs as part of an application development or problem resolution activity
  • Develop, program and code technology applications software solutions to meet agreed specifications
  • Make initial diagnosis of problems, for a system or sub-system or apply known solutions, including documenting problems, progress checking, and escalation to ensure resolution
  • Coach and guide Analyst Programmers, sharing information, skills and knowledge via mutual collaboration to achieve team goals
You should have the following skills and experience:
  • Solid experience in a Senior Analyst Programmer role 
  • Strong experience in C++ and Visual Basic
  • UNIX
  • An understanding and experience of transactional processing
  • An appreciation of Oracle and PL/SQL
  • A good understanding of database structure
  • Relevant Financial Services Industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills and able to trouble shoot
