Description
Our client is the biggest name in the software industry seeking a strong SDET for a contract opportunity.
OVERVIEW:
Manual test pass of the current projects that are shipping:
- Execute functional and regression test suite for feature verification on INT and PROD
- Verify bug fixes in TEST environments
- Coordinate investigation of any hot fixes across partner teams as needed
- Manually use web services site every day and detect and raise any kind of high-priority issues
- Conduct and communicate postmortems of site issues and improve process to prevent recurrences
Automation:
- Onboard internal automation frameworks and tools
- Develop robust automation for web services, database and Back End data pipelines
- Investigate and implement low cost UI automation (record and playback, HTML parsing)
- Execute automated runs and investigate and fix test failures-Customer focus/usability
- Provide feedback on customer flows on usability and pain points
- Monitor and collect KPI metrics for web services
- DRI duties for the site (troubleshooting and fixing the issues)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good testing experience with passion for UX, web services and end-to-end scenarios
- Good coding skills (C#, ASP.NET, SQL)
- Scripting experience good to have (PowerShell a plus)
- Great communication and coordination skills
- Inquisitive, detail oriented, and tenacious
- Good at looking beyond the obvious
- Experience with Consumer-facing services, Networking, Operations and lab management experience a plus
This contract is expected to be 6 months in duration with the possibility of extension.
