Description
Our client is looking for a WebSphere MQ administrator.
This employee must be able to perform installation, configuration, problem determination, tuning, upgrades and migrations for different versions of WebSphere MQ.
Experience with WebSphere Application Server is desirable and integration of WAS with MQ.
Candidate should have a great potential and will be able to support major activities outside working hours.
Initiative taking and teamplayer skills are a must.
This person will be based in our clients offices in Luxembourg, but must have the flexibility to work also from their offices in Brussels.
Remote working is not an option.
Required Skills & experience:
- Advanced knowledge of different versions of MQ and optionally Message Broker.
- Knowledge of Apache web server and IBM HTTP server.
- Knowledge on different versions of WebSphere WebSphere Application Server administration and integration with MQ.
- Experience on WebSphere Portal Server, Content Manager and Edge Server will be a plus.
- Good Windows & Unix Skills in order to facilitate WebSphere administration tasks.
- Experience in performance monitoring/tuning for above products
- Experience in optimization/capacity planning for above products
- Experience in troubleshooting for above products
- Good English language (written and spoken) is a requirement.
Other requirements:
- Needs to be on-call
- Weekend coverage is required.
- Travel is required.
