Mechanical Systems Engineer
3 Month Rolling
A Mechanical Systems Engineer is required for a large Defence based company to provide specialist technical mechanical systems support, advice, management and leadership, and be responsible for the safe and effective conduct of specific test and evaluation tasks This will be of associated aircraft systems (primarily heavy aircraft type) and associated role equipment, meeting customer requirements, and in accordance with local work instructions.
Must have experience includes:
- Knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Systems and general aircraft operation.
- Sound knowledge in the Mechanical Systems Specialist Technical area.
- Technical experience throughout the air vehicle life cycle.
- Ability to make sound Technical judgements in the Mechanical Systems specialist area.
Desirable experience includes:
- Knowledge and understanding of Military Aircraft Systems and general aircraft operation.
- Experience with Heavy aircraft (eg C-130, A400, VC10), Helicopters (eg Merlin, Chinook) or Combat Air (eg Typhoon, Tornado or similar).
- A sound understanding of evaluation and test methodology.
Must have skills include:
- Minimum of an ONC or similar qualification in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environment and Quality policies and Procedures.
Desirable skills include:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proven Technical Leadership to team/project members, and/or task Technical Manager.
