IT SUPPORT;

  • Datacenter operations-will respond to and manage any datacenter emergencies on-site 7x24x365
  • Shop floor technology-will support and maintain both site specific and centrally developed applications including manufacturing machine interface software
  • Audio/Visual-responsible for customer meeting support (eg, Video/Telepresence meeting)
  • Server general/logical management-will support network connectivity
  • Mobile telephones-will provide an end-user support service for mobile phones
  • Fax machines-will provide an IMAC service for the fax infrastructure, including the associated telephony environment
  • Local applications-will troubleshoot problems associated with local applications and reinstall applications as needed to Remedy problems
  • Local applications-co-ordination/physical installation of racks, power, cabling, Servers, storage, backup, UPS, and other assets
  • Voice Support-identify and rectify telephony service delivery issues, both configuration and hardware related, engaging third party maintenance providers and client staff as required
  • Voice Support-perform programming and configuration activities required to support changes and movements within the business (including voicemail system)
  • Voice Support-ensure that all telephony related equipment, including wiring and patch panel closets, is maintained and managed to the standards laid out by the client
  • Network Support-"Housekeeping" of cabling/patch panels within the facility to defined standards
  • Network Support-provide onsite labor to perform physical tasks such as software upgrades, physical swaps (including internal parts) and reboots under guidance from third party support vendor in the event that these tasks are unable to be performed remotely
  • Network Support-install PCs, Firewalls, and other infrastructure hardware as requested by the security and infrastructure teams

DESKSIDE AND IMAC SUPPORT

  • Install and deploy PCs or laptops and all associated peripherals
  • Move or physically relocate a PC or laptop and all associated peripherals
  • Add or incorporate new hardware or software to the current configuration
  • Change PC or laptop status or engage with re-configuring existing hardware or software
  • Monitor the routine delivery of products into the customer site, secure the assets, inspect for quality assurance, and organize all assigned paperwork for proper tracking and scheduling of deployments
  • Clearly communicate with end users to schedule daily deployments of PCs or laptops and all associated peripherals to their installation location
  • Refresh end user assets by the installation of a newly acquired asset to replace an existing end of life asset
  • Thorough and detail oriented while validating the asset tags or serial numbers on the equipment being removed
  • Ensure connectivity to the network and restore access to appropriate network services
  • Skilled with migration of end user data and settings from their old system to the new system
  • Process paperwork correctly by obtaining signature from end user upon completion of an installation
  • Prepare removed systems for return to the life cycle Service Center in accordance with customer guidelines
  • Provide support that includes desktop configuration, software installs and removals, de-installs, driver updates, and virus remediation as defined by customer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years prior experience in operating/maintaining PCs, laptops, and peripherals
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience (eg Excel, Outlook)
  • Windows 7 proficient with experience supporting in customer assignments
  • Experience with enterprise ticketing system for managing trouble tickets and queue operations
  • Understanding of SLA driven performance requirements within vendor/client operations
  • Experience with warranty repair on OEM equipment and ability to demonstrate process familiarity
  • Knowledge and experience using process improvement tools
  • Hardware/software troubleshooting to include adds, moves, changes
  • CompTIA A+ certification required
  • CompTIA Server+ certification preferred
  • Must display professionalism when dealing with end-users as well as VIP level staff
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must have a propensity for excellent attendance
  • Must have a high energy level and ability to be productive in a data driven, corporate 50 environment
  • Ability to interact with IT staff based locally and remotely
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • 2 year degree in IT related field or equivalent experience in IT
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
