Description
Our client is a Global Technology Company and they are currently seeking a consultant to assist them in choosing a new ERP system to support one of their global businesses. The suitable candidate does not need to be based in Ireland but will need to be based somewhere that they can easily travel to Ireland, Scotland (Erskine site) and the client site near Boston. This is a 4 month assignment that does not have to be full time.
Actual experience with evaluating and selecting ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
- Working industry knowledge of ERP systems (Installation of the system a plus)
- Has defined methods, models, process and methodologies, etc for ERP selection
- Understands dynamics of integrating layered apps/modules into the core system backbone
- Understands how to connect business processes and organizational strategy to an IT solution
- Data migration
Finance/Accounting
- General ledger, payables, cash management, fixed assets, receivables, budgeting, consolidation
Manufacturing
- Bill of materials, product substitution, work orders, scheduling, capacity, workflow management, quality control, cost management, manufacturing build process, activity based costing.
- Actual cost systems vs. std cost
Supply chain management
- Inventory, order entry, purchasing, product configuration, supply chain planning, supplier scheduling, product inspection, commission tracking, returns management (RMA)
Warehousing/distribution
- Pick, pack, ship, cycle count/PI, production control
Customer relationship management
- Sales and marketing, commissions, service, customer contact, call center support
